We were completely reliant on Checkatrade to find us a competent expert for our home improvement. We registered and posted our needs, but unfortunately, we were left high and dry.

Think twice before you fall for Checkatrade. Their more info whole operation is designed to leave you stranded. They promise the world but they deliver nothing. You'll be left in a pickle and nobody at Checkatrade will give a damn.
It all starts with their sneaky fees, which they hide in the small stuff. Then, there's the terrible support that's about as useful as a chocolate teapot. You can try to complain, but it's like chasing ghosts.
So, avoid them like the plague of Checkatrade if you value your time.

We thought we were doing the right choice by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so trustworthy with their qualified traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.
Then, the communication from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and provided a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to discuss the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.
In the end, we ended up having to hire someone else by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.
We're left feeling frustrated and would definitely not recommend Checkatrade for your tradesman needs.
